The Beach Hotel, started as a Eco Hostal project focused to bring environmental and social alternatives to the inhabitants of the beach of Punta Arena in the island Tirrea Bomba, located just 10 minutes away from Cartagena. This island was almost forgotten by the administration, with no water, sanitation problems and extreme poverty conditions. Regardless of the rich biodiversity of the island it was not considered part of the National Park ISLAS DEL ROSARIO.
Today THE BEACH is an Eco-Hotel, directed towards a Zero waste philosophy working with the hand of the the community councils, for the protection and conservation of the natural resources of the island. The Beach Hotel sponsors educational environmental programs at the local school, and has become an admirable example for the community and entrepreneurs that have been getting interested on the island since the recent years.
The Hotel counts with different beach clubs, for spending time, with friends or family, in unique installations on white sand, super good music, espectacular gardens, and a huge aditorium tree where you can do yoga meditation or any holistic practice.
During this phase, The Beach Hotel, also launched two new amazing ecotouristic activities: You can now come to the hotel via KAYAK departing from Boca Grande, and make your arrival 100% ecological , and you can also go do BIRD WATCHING a new program organized with the community council of Punta Arena, The Montesori School of Cartagena, The Colombian Navy, the scientist Nathaly Devia, and Ecopazifico’s logistic support.
We feel extremely blessed to be part of the beautiful family, and be able to make magic with this permaculture project that grows and blooms along the community each day more.
Stay tuned if you want to join this permaculture program when you visit the Caribbean coast of Colombia and have unique ecotouristic activities in paradise.
