El dia 22 de Mayo fuimos invitados a la segunda audiencia pública del proyecto de ley 123 que busca la prohibición y regulación de plásticos de un solo uso en Colombia.

Nuestra primera intervención fue en el mes de octubre 2018 donde dimos a conocer nuestra preocupación sobre la situación en la que se encuentran nuestras costas y la urgencia que necesitamos que en nuestro pais se comiencen a tomar medidas.

En esta segunda ocasión quisimos darle la voz al futuro de Colombia, LOS NIÑOS y futuros lideres de nuestro pais.

Por eso quisimos invitar a nuestro amigo Sebastian Uribe ,quien desde Cartagena y la isla vecina de Tierra Bomba , ve a diario como las playas y los mares están invadidos de este precioso material que por causa de nuestra mala disposición y falta de regulación, termina siendo peligroso para nuestras vidas y las de todo el planeta tierra.

También le trajimos de regalo a la audiencia un trozo de #Mapare de San Andres islas, regidos por Rommy Schreiber directora de Ecopazifico en Colombia y Johanna Schreiber directora de Ecopazifico en Miami. A esta audiencia también llegaron otros invitados especiales, los guardianes de la tierra, un grupo de jóvenes activistas de Bogota que también están preocupados por su futuro y expresaron y le pidieron a los lideres de este pais que hagan algo pronto al respecto. Ellos no ven la hora de venir a limpiar las playas con #Ecopazifico y nosotros no vemos la hora de mostrarles a ellos el paraíso donde nacen las ballenas!!!!

The Colombian Company OQ Shoes got together with the Colombian celebrity Claudia Bahamon to create a shoe and bag line inspired in the Pacific coast of Colombia. With the funds they look to contribute to one of the 29 remaingin recycling stations that we need to complete the Ecological Trail. This really means a lot to us; to see that such cool celebrities, and companies, understand our cause and are ready to take action!

The week before the ICC 18 (International Coastal Cleanup, September 18), OQ shoes, Claudia Bahamon and Ecopazifico’s crew, visited the majestic region of Bahía Malaga to document, the beautiful paradise , the devastating plastic pollution along the coast, and what Ecopazifico is doing about this issue. It was an incredible expedition where we got to see whales and spend the day surrounded by people that love the Ocean and are willing to do as much as possible to protect it.

The LINE was launched in October at the beautiful LOCAL BY RAUSH, owned by famous cheff RAUSH, and claudia’s collegue. Press from all over Colombia came to this breakfast event even the mother of the president was there to acquire one of the new pieces of this beautiful collection!
